Cop drops an elbow to a girls face in bar fight Two Department of Natural Resources officers have been placed on paid leave after the officers broke up a fight Thursday night near Court Avenue and Second Street.
In a video posted on Facebook, two women were seen fighting. The DNR officers tackle, mace and restrained a woman. Des Moines police said they don't know why the DNR officers were patrolling downtown.

"There are many questions left to be answered and we are working with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation to conduct a full, fair and thorough investigation into the matter."
Both women, identified as Latisha Johnson and Kathryn Kesler, were arrested and have been released.
Johnson was charged with disorderly conduct, interference with official acts and public intoxication. Kesler was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.”
